"Bubba" Ludwig, 10 months, just received his very own Illinois gun permit. His father, Howard Ludwig, 30, of Chicago, applied for the permit after his own father (Bubba's grandfather) bought Bubba a 12-gauge Beretta shotgun as a gift. The weapon will probably be kept at Ludwig's father's house until the boy is at least 14.

Yeah, saw it on the news earlier in the week. The video showed the baby chewing on his ID card. Ugh.
Worst of all? There is absolutely NO age limit at all in Illinois. If you can pass the 'no felony convictions', you can get a gun permit, even at 10 months of age. And people wonder WHY I think the gun laws ought to be repaired right quick!

Ah yes. My aunt emailed the story to me AND my gun toting husband. (Well, he doesn't really "tote" guns but he does own some.) And now I have to smack my aunt for giving my husband ideas. He just thinks it would be funny to see if he could get one for our 2 year old here.
