Why I Don’t Make Homemade Baby Food (Excuse #12)

This is what happens when I turn on the blender. No joke.

Not sure if he’s protesting the noise or the fact that I’m making him my special spinach, broccoli, and tofu medly. Hmmmm.

That just cracked me up. Zakary is that way about any loud noises. Gets old after a while.

The vacuum was what did it for James. Just gave me an excuse not to vacuum.

Cameo: this may sound bad, but I DID turn the blender quickly on and off a couple extra times, just to see him Cry. Stop. Cry. Stop. It was like an experiment. I'm such a bad mama.

Not that I always find pleasure in the faces of anxious children, but this one did make me laugh. It's just such a cute/funny/every-mom-can-relate-to-it picture.

OH MY GOSH -- you are not going to believe this, but my baby does the exact same thing!! Cries like somebody hurt him whenever I turn the blender on. Weird!!

Once you pass a child through your woohoo you are allowed to occasionally use their crying fits for your own entertainment.

That picture is one you'll love forever. I'm loving it right now!

OK, thanks everyone for making me feel OK for thinking this is funny.

And Mrs. Chicky, I've never heard it called "woohoo" before, but I'll have to remember that one. Ha!

Spend the money on the food. It's worth it. :)

Awww...even though he's unhappy, it's really cute the way he makes that face!

Guess he wasn't too thrilled about it, huh? Maybe it was the tofu...
BTW, thanks for stopping and checking out my blog. It seems we run in the same circles.
Oh, and your child is adorable!

Boy that's a tough call. Hard to say either way.

It's getting time to start making homemade baby food here too, but I think I might get the same reation. LOL

I think he's saying to himself, "Look at her making me this thing she calls health food, as if she thinks I will never discover the joys of a chicken nugget and french fries."

(We must be on the same wavelength - I used to make my girls that same concoction, except minus the broccoli and add in brown rice. Hmmmm...)

I remember making my own babyfood eons ago. I didn't even have a blender. I had one of those hand-crank thingies...oy.
