What will you be doing for Thanksgiving?

I'll be having hot, steamy sex.

Let me explain. According to my new handy dandy ovulation calendar, there is an excellent chance that the sperm will fertilize the egg if we do it on Thanksgiving.

Yep. I'm moving on to ovulation calendar technology to help us out with the babymaking. We've been trying the "good old fashioned way" for three months now and I've decided that enough is enough. I know we just started trying and yada yada yada, but I'm an impatient woman. And I've been doing a helluva lot of work with no results for the last 90 days, so I'm rolling up my sleeves and kicking it into high gear now with the use of a free unscientifically supported online ovulation software aid.

Making babies has never been so fun.

Best of luck to you!

As a side note, I took a look at that ovulation calendar, but it could be telling you the wrong dates. It seems to be going off of averages, which aren't always right for every woman.

I recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It explains how some women ovulate earlier or later than the average, and how you can track what your own body's pattern is. For example (in the way TMI category for you), I have a 28 day cycle, but usually ovulate on day 16, instead of the average day 14. It's a great resource for getting pregnant, avoiding pregnancy, or even helping to influence the gender of the child you want.

I could make a dirty joke about Thanksgiving stuffing or pulling the wishbone - But I'm not crude like that. . . so I won't. :-)

I'll also echo the reccomendation of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility." Very helpful and you also learn a lot of valuable information about your body. (ovulation detector kits also work well).

Good Luck!

I became totally addicted to ovulation charts and all my fertility signs. It was like I needed to know the exact moment we conceived. I was an obsessed woman! I did learn that I had a short luteal phase which was affecting my fertility so I took herbs which helped regulate my cycle and got pregnant the first cycle after starting the herbs.

Actually I think that's the perfect way to spend thanksgiving. With sex. Because for me and my house, it's way way way up there on my things to be thankful for list.

Oh the Joys: thank GOD for Wilkipedia or I would have no idea what you were talking about! LOL. About the tryptophan, I won't have to worry b/c I'm a vegetarian so I won't be having any turkey this year. Though I will be having a TOFUrky. Yummmm.

Jen: thanks for the encouragement. We got pregnant on our first try with Little Guy so even though I know it's normal to take several months, I still kinda hoped it would happen fast again. I just have to be a little patient. Not my strong suit!

Of all days to be fertile it has to be on the day that you've stuffed yourself full of mashed potatoes and pecan pie and are sitting around in your sexy fat clothes, or at least have the top button of your pants undone to accomodate your full belly. Good luck with that!

I can sooo relate! We got pregnant a few months after trying but the day that it stuck, we were both feeling sick and were NOT in the mood. Until we realized I was ovulating. And yes, my dear son was conceived with the attitude, "All right. Let's get this over with..." :-)

I wonder how long it would take for me to resort to such measures whenever I start trying to have a child again.

And, Amber's last sentence just totally cracks me up;>

Sounds like a great plan for a day to be thankful.

If you ever want a perfect method of birth control you might want to work from my hubby's company. We've been trying for 2 YEARS come January, '07. Seems whenever they send him on a business trip, its for four-six days WHILE I'M OVULATING! Ahhhhh!

Good luck! Sounds like the perfect way to end Thanksgiving day!

I planned both babies around an internet ovulation predictor. Managed to hit a home run both times! So get busy on turkey day!

Remember if you want a girl try to do the horizontal mambo (well actually the doggy style mambo is best for conception) BEFORE you ovulate. The little male sperms die out and the girls hang in there. Kinda like sex actually.

And WHOOO-HOOO you're gonna have a baby!

Good luck, Mama!

That ovulation calendar is how we got pregnant with Gabe the first month we tried. I'll be thinking of you when I unbutton my waistband and sit back with a belly full of turkey and fixins and a son sleeping on my coat on that side table in the banquet hall we have to rent every time my dad's side of the family does Thanksgiving.

I found this site by searching for "having sex with mashed potatoes" Which in an eazy-e song a guy says if I knew it was this kind of party I would have stuck my d1ck in the mashed potatoes, so I was just wondering if people actually did that.
