Is Being a Jerk Hereditary?
Apparently it is if you're one of the Miller twins.
Perhaps you've heard of them - they were in the news earlier this week.
Identical twin brothers Raymon and Richard Miller have been battling each other in court over a child support issue.
Their problem? Each brother had sex with the same woman on the same day four years ago. Now this woman has a three-year-old child and paternity tests show that both men have a 99.9% probabilty of being the father.
And neither of them wants to pay child support. Nor do they want to acknowledge that the child is theirs or "have anything to do with her". And yet, they will probably never know who is the father and who is the uncle.
What a couple of winners.
According to the ABC article, Raymond told ABC that he's willing to go all the way to the Supreme Court with this. He was quoted as saying ' "If they can't prove it's me then they should throw it out of court." And as for the child support, he said, "The state should eat it." '
If there was ever a time I wanted to reach through the computer to slap someone, this was it.
People like this should not be procreating. Seriously.

I blame the woman.
I'm sure she had sex with both of them and they were unaware...(at least that's what I think in my naive little head)
She had control over who she had sex with. And yes, these guys are douchebags...jesus...what a sick story.
Omgosh! that is awful! And now this poor baby is going to have all this on file, that he father, whichever one he may be didn't want her. Terrible!

Sounds like some serious sibling rivalry if you ask me.
They should throw out the case if they both agree to court ordered sterilization. I think that's a fair deal.
Somehow, I think if they both had unprotected sex with her on the same day, meaning it's a 50-50 chance either could be the father, than BOTH should pay child support.

Janet: yep, it takes two to tango so she definitely had a hand in this. I guess the moral is that if you're going to sleep around, make sure you don't do it with total and complete douchebags.

In the end, it's just sad for the little girl.

This is disgusting. These guys should be sterilized. I blame them all, there is a perfectly innocent child that is going to grow up knowing her mom is a whore and her father didnt want her.
Neither men should be procreating. And the woman, in this case, shouldn't be either -- unless they tricked her into thinking she was with the same one both times.
Yesterday, I saw that the family of the Cardinal player that recently died is suing a bunch of people. The man died because he was driving drunk and hit a tow truck. The family of this man is suing the tow truck driver, the man the driver was helping, (because if they weren't there, their son would be alive) and the bar (for serving him drinks.) I wanted to slap them too! Because hello! Who should have known his limits? This man. Who should have been responsible enough to take the bar up on their offer of a cab? This man. Who should have talked to their child about drunk driving and knowing when to say "when"? HIS FAMILY!
What is it with so many Americans that they feel they can't take responsibility for their actions? Fucking morons.
Lisa: wow, that is completely ludicrous. I also heard that he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Maybe the family should sue the car manufacturer for not installing a seatbelt requirement before the engine would start. Jeez.
As a Mother to twin boys, I cringed twice over this. How sad.
OHMYWORD. I would hate to know of all the alchohol and stupidity that must have been involved for twins to sleep with the same woman in the same day. EWWWWW. I don't even LIKE my BIL's. :)
And I agree, all three should be sterilized and both the brothers should have to pay 50% of the child support. The whole thing is just sick and wrong. That poor child....
